Gong xi ah gong xi, fa ya fa da chai......
What is CNY Day 1 without a trip to the town church? Almost like Christmas, but Chinese christians do it the Chinese way.

Offering envelopes of course have to be in auspicious pink!

The refreshments after service is out of this world! Who would have thought to serve red jelly, tealeaf eggs, CNY snacks, packet drinks and sewing machine oil as perfect refreshments?

OK, a wee digress. A shout-out to CowGum! You can access her blog by clicking on her name by the right column. This famous Changkat Kruning breakfast is dedicated to you, cowgum! But eaten by Ernest.

We had lunch after the service and without a doubt, the best lunch is served today. Famous Foochow delicacy: Ang-zhau Chicken soup with vemicelli. Drools!

After lunch, we debated on how to spend the CNY Day 1. Against all protests by the elderlies (aka my Baba and eldest uncle), me and Ernest, JS cousin and his brother, together with my brother, decided to visit the little picturesque port-town, Lumut. Check out the lovely pictures Ernest has taken.

As usual, I am moved to tears by the sunset shots taken by Ernest.

What's CNY without kids endangering their lives by playing fireworks freestyle? Feel free to feel scared. These are kids!

CNY Day 1 sign out.
