CNY DAY 2 = Day of Feasting

No Chinese New Year is completed without eating and eating and stuffing your face silly. You have just got to stuff yourself until you feel all bloated and have indigestion. CNY Day 2 is the most bloated day I have ever felt. Let's start with breakfast. Typical CNY breakfast at Changkat Kruning is the fish mee doused in delicious black black sauce. Mama, Huey, Wei, Ernest and I had like 6 plates of this mouth-watering mee and can I say again, it costs us less than $10 for a very full breakfast for 5.

Less than 2 or 3 hours after this breakfast, my aunt rushed in from outside the house and told us to go the the 'beach' as the MP for Changkat Kruning has come to do his political ya-yas and is serving free food to everyone. He is also rumoured to be giving out ang-pows to every villager as well.

What should we do? We quickly rushed down of course! Free food! Free money!

OK, this looks as though the MP is in KL or something. So nice. Ernest has become a journalist all of the sudden.

Look! They are really giving out Ang pows to everyone!

OK, did everyone counted how many meals we had already? We had 2 and it is not even lunch yet. We wanted to ta pau lunch for the maid at home and Big aunt got a plate of nasi briyani and some mutton curry. One cousin added in some Indian dougnuts and cakes and Ernest and I swiped some prawns and Malay kuehs from the MP's table as the VIPs had finished with their food, but a lot is leftover. Deciding not to waste them, we took the best bits and gave them to the maid. After this interesting MP visit, we piled and car and went to pay our annual CNY visit to my mother's side of the family.

Upon reaching, we were ushered into the kitchen for lunch. 3 meals and counting! I should not fail to mention that we lived to come back to Malaysia for these dishes annually. They are simply no horse run.

Now you see it running free-ranch on the kampong property...

Now you see it again! Yummy!

A little R and R time after the lunch. Nothing to play with except babies and children. I need not emphasise on how good Ernest is with his camera.

Now it's Ernest's turn with the baby. Sometimes babies are delicious.

When we were tired of babies, we went outside and Ernest, the genius, with his award-winning choice shots of the kampong life.

It's a dog's life. Hic. Can I have one more beer?

CNY Day 2.....sign out. Very full!
