4 Feb 2003 Chinese New Year Day 4
Me and my dad drove the car to the city. I wanted to collect my birth certificate from the Malaysian High Comm. where I have renounced my Malaysian citizenship. Dad drove and gave me some pointers on how to drive more smoothly and change lanes more effectively. I guess this Chinese phrase: old gingers are more flavorful that young gingers are really true. He really made some points that I felt that I could improve on.

TMD the Malay people are still on holidays. The High Comm is not opened yet. Waste my time man. Dad wanted to go look at some books and did not have a chance to visit a bookstore because he was busy everyday. So I suggested Bras Basah Complex. We made a detour and had actually a nice time shopping for books at Bras Basah Complex. I felt that the relationship between my dad and I is getting better. I actually got to know him better and I felt this year is really starting on a good note indeed. I really cannot imagine my dad and I, going shopping for books together. One year ago, this would be actually laughable. Praise the Lord.
