Kai Gong Le!

Yes, Aussies officially returns to work today. And the difference is very significant. Usually I take 20mins to half an hour to drive to work everyday, but during peak traffic hour, the story goes like this.

I drove the car out of the carpark slot to the main road.
2 road humps, and 2 cars before me, a L-plate car hogging the road.
I patiently ride it out and came before a green light with a long line of traffic.
It's green and no one is moving. Why? Cos one stupid driver wants to turn right in the traffic junction where you are not allowed to turn right during weekdays 7am to 10am. Great.
After copious amount of honking, I got through that one and reached the very irritating road near Petersham where 2 lanes merge into 1. Of course I am one of those who tries to merge in at the very last minute and I copped a middle finger from the car behind me who was in the correct lane. Who cares? Too many cars on the road.
After 3 songs on the radio, I realised I am still waiting at the same stretch of road. Sianz.
Finally I reach the small side road which leads to Princess Highway. It is one of those where you never seem to be able to turn out onto the main road cos ALL the cars seemed to be on Princess Highway already and all you can do is to wish very hard that your car is a Smartcar and zip into a small opening whenever a car was slow.
I had to ninja my car out, turn into another road filled with trucks (I seriously would like to petition all trucks to be banned from public roads in peak hour traffic. You think I want to see Jesus Christ 40 years early issit?) and do another ninja move to get my car on O'Riordan Street where it would be a breezy 1 min zip to my office.

Home to office: 12kms
Time to drive from home to office in peak hour traffic: 1.5 hours
Near middle finger pointing while driving in this peak hour traffic: 10
Thoughts of flying through the traffic like Edward Cullen the vampire? Countless
