When we went to Westfield Burwood in the afternoon, I unleashed my shopping demon and bought many things good enough for a few dinners. Plus I also bought clothes as well. I have such weakness for new clothes! But Ernest promised me he will get me a walk-in wardrobe when we buy our first home in Sydney, so I am all for new clothes.
Back to my dinner, I came across a simple starter when blog-surfing many moons ago. All you need to do is to get some top-grade prosciutto and serve with honeydew melons. The result is a beautiful combination of the saltiness and the sweetness that whet your appetite for more food to come. To think I was skeptical when I first read about this and was thinking, 'Eh alamak, what a weird combination. Eat fruits for starter some more.'

As for the mains, I remembered the convenience of prepared chicken fillet mignon from the chicken shops and decided to cook these for Ernest. He likes bacon so this chicken dish is quite suitable. And I need veges, so I took a spin on Sarah & Luke's take on their Pear, cucmber, mushroom & avocado and rocket salad and made it my version. I didn't get rocket cos they have a distinct bitter aftertaste which I have not fully acquired an appreciation for and no mushrooms cos we had mushrooms overdose for the past week due to our Paddington market adventure which resulted in a huge bag of white mushrooms for $4 which til yesterday, we still have half a bag-ful left.

I just had craving for tiger prawns and bought about 200gm to share with Ernest.

Then we had an evening of music and love because Ernest put on the movie August Rush. It was quite a touching movie although I do not really think Jonathan Rhys Meyers is not that handsome. He had this weird cleft-lip looking lips and he talks in a funny accent (ok he is Irish) and (to my horror) tried to sing in the movie. He is better off being the model he was with Hugo Boss, IMHO.

But, little Freddie Highmore was the star of the movie where he was this talented orphan in search of his parents whom he is convinced are still alive and is also looking for him. And he finds them through music. He was even enrolled in The Julliard School of Music (how? Cos that school is super exclusive one loh) and he even composed a full score of music 'for his parents to find him'. Hard to believe, but this show is so beautiful and so chick-flicky that I was glued to this movie the whole time. And also there were plenty of touching, beautiful music that made me want to learn how to play the piano or the guitar after the show is over.
Keri Russell was great as the mum who was kept in the dark for 12 years about her surviving son. Jonathan, well, was the dad. OK acting, but I still prefer Freddie Highmore. He is so cute and look like a kid version of Hugh Grant. I urge you all to check this movie out.
Robin William was another surprising plus to this movie. He acted as a bad guy in this movie. I was quite amused cos all the movies I have seen of this veteran actor, is of good character. I thought he was doing a great job.
