Taiwan Day 3: JiuFen
Having heard so much about Jiufen, we decided to go to this touristy place to have a look. But sian it rained the entire day and we had to tote the umbrella everywhere we go.
After Jiufen, we headed to Shilin, the night market so famous that Singaporeans brought a copy back to Singapore to earn money off our backs using fake Taiwanese chicken cutlet. We had the real deal. It was funny as well to see the illegal hawkers hauling their stuff up and down the night market street whenever there is a sight of police. There was a bunch of ang mohs who were in the middle of choosing a toy from an illegal hawker when he suddenly disappeared into thin air because a policeman decide to parade on this side of the street. The ang mohs looked at each other in disbelief with toys in their hands and no one to take their money.
Check out my photos here.
