Our Last Day in Taiwan
I guess I have to wrap this up.
Our last day in Taiwan was a relaxing one. One part of me wants to go home already. I am actually quite physically tired from all these walking around and sight-seeing. On the other hand, I have begin to like Taiwan alot and have begin to imagine myself working or staying long-term in this country, but of course after intense Mandarin lessons. I can't order food properly in fluent Mandarin in Taiwan. Then again, imagination is free as I really cannot see myself staying in this people-congested city. OK, very confusing. Back to touristy stuff.
We decided to pay Danshui a visit as our last pit-stop before going back to Singapore. We have heard alot about this place and as it is located at the coast-edge of Taipei, Danshui have a lot of 'shui' (water) and it suddenly reminds me of Sydney.
We visited the famous Lover's Bridge and I can see why it is more popular in the evenings. I can envision coupls hand in hand walking along the bridge amongst the cool sea breeze, looking back at the city skyline and sampling the delicious smelling Taiwan snacks that is hawkered by the side of the bridge. In the morning, the bridge is a little plain and quiet but it is still beautiful all the same.
Have a look at my pictures here.
Postnote: Ernest found the link to the Guess Showx3 where we were filmed to death. Do check it out our 15mins of fame (I think it was more like 1 hour or so of fame)
