I was wailing this to everyone today. Everyone from my colleagues around me to my colleagues upstairs on Level 2 & 3. AUD$1 is converting at the rate of SGDS0.97 on xe.com today. 1 to 1!
Oh my mother and my father! Oh sweet monkeys and cats! Why must this fall on me when I am 1 week away to visit Singapore for my holidays? All my dreams of going back and pretending to be rich from working overseas has now gone up in smoke. Now I cannot go back and swing thick wads of money in front of friends and family nor I can subconsciously flick my wrist to make the bling on my fingers reflect the light and catch their attention. Sianz loh. Sorry Huey, no money to buy Havaianas slippers (or thongs, as Aussies like to call them) for you anymore. Exchange rate is so bad, I might have to depend on you for food.
But look on the positive side, cos I have no money, therefore cannot eat too much, maybe can lose weight in Singapore! Haha, even I do not believe this will happen to me.
With this note, I leave you to enjoy my favourite scene from my favourite movie (currently) Little Miss Sunshine. Boy, would I love to learn how to dance like her.
Sometimes I do think I am a freak myself. Hey, freaks like Shrek have happy endings ok?!
