Leekspin
A true blue animation fan would have heard or seen the character Orihime from Bleach was made to spin and twirl a Japanese leek while a Finnish folk song Levan Polka was sung by the Finnish Loituma band in the background.
This 'sprouted' a 'leekspin' phenomena. Virtual singing Vocaloid idol Hatsune Miku made new version of the Levan Polka song here (note the voice is entirely computerised):

I was amazed at this seemingly innocent negi but people have been promoting it as the latest it-accessory if you wanna sing Finnish folk song and would want something in your hand to spin or twirl with. Haha.
Heck, if you want to emulate this famous leekspin in the privacy of your own home or completely humiliate yourself in public, you can buy a proper plastic leek from Jlist.com and practice the routine!
