Ernest and I are going to celebrate MY birthday by going to Falls Creek, Victoria for a skiing getaway weekend this coming July. We are going to take proper skiing lessons, stay in a backpacker hotel ON THE SNOW, mingle with smelly backpackers and shoot up Jaeger Bombs. I reckon it will be such an awesome way to celebrate my birthday! Thanks Ernest for the idea!
Of course we will travel by Rex to Albury. 'Our heart is in the country', remember?
Then we will stay in Julian's Lodge, the most affordable hotel ON the snow that I have ever seen. During the snow season, all snow-related business suddenly had their price inflated more than 200% and it is not funny anymore, but Julian is still very very affordable. Too bad, but the time you read this and want to book, they might be booked out. I had to be on their waitlist for a while, hence this annoucement now. I got a room there!!!!
Except to get proper thermal gear and check out all the free instructional videos on the web, we are pretty stoked up for this trip. Sorry fellow Singaporeans who are sweating now in their underwear in the humid weather while I go on and on about the snow season in Australia. Hahaha. Watch this space for on and off details on the trip! So excited!
