The nightmare is over

No longer will I have to endure the long suffering eyes of Ernest. He has been a very poor thing, without internet for a month. For those who works in ISPs, pls listen to me! Do not make your customers wait for internet!!!!

Now, I am comfortably blogging from home! My home internet is finally up. The 'drought' is over.

Thanks for michelle and spollie in confirming that I still do have readers out there.

If you have been following Ernest's blog for a while, you would know Ernest has updated his blog quicker than I can get him to eat bread on a daily basis.

So you would know that my parents plus my 2 younger sisters, brother & my sis's partner has visited and have gone home.

I shall have a short summary of their visit here. Enjoy!

4 days of sleepness nightmares trying to get plane tickets for 4 members of my family.....to fly together on the same day.

1 night of quarrelling and tears.

2 days of calling everywhere, from Singapore, United Arab Emirates & Sydney to secure seats, totalling about 7 hours of phone calls internationally.

1 night of planning tour itineraries.

3 days of Visitors visa scare.

2 weeks of anticipation.

The Kong family in Sydney......priceless.

And you know how is it with us, we revolve our lives around food, so let the pictures tell you the week gone by:

Sat: Korean

Usual suspects: Kim chi pancakes, seafood hot pot, assorted BBQ meat, ginseng chicken and lotsa pan-chans

Sun: Dim Sum, Olympic Park, Shanghai food

Mon: Chong Qing Mah La Steamboat

Tues: Japanese at Ju Ju's & takeaway at Harry's Cafe De Wheel (I hope this is how it is spelt)

Wed: Today is CNY Eve, so my mum cooked. Yum...home-cooked food....

'scuse me for the big pic. Want to show off the good home-cooked food in my new place.
Menu for the night: Steamed pomfrets (nian nian you yu), steamed chicken, roasted duck, sambal kang kong & veg soup.

Thu: Da nian chu yi (1st day of the Chinese New Year) we had ribs! At Kelly's. Interesting hey?

Check out my outfit for the day. Yes, it is a cheongsum-inspired top. Everyone at my work place reckons it is really cool.

Fri: My family going back soon......the week sure fly past fast!
We had supper at...where else???......our favourite Yummy Chinese Restaurant!!
They rate this place as cool and they dig the supper set which we highly recommend to all 1st time Sydney visitors.
I have no picture for this. I know Ernest has a pic but I cannot find the picture anywhere on my laptop so no picture lah. Never mind lah....you know how it will look like. A family posed in Chinese restaurant with a table full of food lah. And we are smiling loh.

Sat: I am a bit missing them already. After sending them off at the airport, I felt a bit empty on the inside.
