Barnabas & Ester's Two Become One
It is not everyday you get to attend a wedding on board a cruise boat. Ernest and I got invited to Barnabas and Ester's wedding on 16 Dec (Sat). The wedding is held on a chartered boat. Boarding at a wharf opposite Star Casino, we prepared a special wedding gift for the newly-wed couple. So exciting!
Barnabas and Ester are from Korea and both sets of parents came specially for the occasion dressed in coloured-coordinated hanbok. So very traditional.
Pretty azumas! Oops, I am being rude here. But they are really pretty
It was a pretty windy day and we felt it when the boat is cruising and skirts and hair started flying everywhere.
Of course we HAD to take some touristy-worthy pictures of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. And from a charter boat no less.
Alright let's move on to the ceremony itself. Isn't sweet? I know most girls nowadays will try to outdo each other trying to think of the most creative ways to get married or source for the most original location to hold their wedding ceremony. This is highly recommended for girls who have money to burn.
Fly your parents and friends to Sydney, charter a boat and have them cruise up and down the harbour, stop at Mrs Macquarie's Chair with the back drop of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge and say your vows midst friends who are green with envy.
Pst John waiting for the couple to march in for their ceremony.
Nervous groom waiting for bride to march in. No worries about MIA bride. Cos she is ALREADY on the boat and no where to go. Smart, eh?
The Ceremony. It was pretty short but we all felt so powerful about two become one when the boat bobbed gently on soft waves. It was an excellent atmosphere.
Barnabas and Ester, married!
Now that the ceremony is over, we started spreading out exploring the boat, getting drinks and waiting for finger food. Time to cam-whore!
Congratulations to our newest couple on the block!
