There was a 3 day Praise and Worship Conference at church from Fri, Sat to Sun. Pst Mike Brumback from IHOP (International House of Prayer), Kansas was the speaker for all 3 sessions and it was indeed refreshing to listen to an American accent preach about God. 'Baloney!' he goes, instead of our usual 'Bullshit!' or 'Ka Na Sai!'.
The focus of his preaching for these 3 days is on God's love for us. The Fatherly love that we will never get to experience on earth. Even if we have decent fathers, God will always be our PERFECT father.
There is a whole lot of stuff he talked about but the one thing strikes me the most when he put on a CD from his church in Kansas, there was this guy (cannot recall his name) who belted out earnestly,
'God loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us, because He loves us!'
'It does not matter if we love Him. It does not matter if we do love Him. It does not matter if we will change or not change our weaknesses and turn away from sins; God will still love us.'
'Love chases away fear. God does not want us to fear. When there is love, there is no fear. God is love, there is no need to fear.'
If there is nothing I learnt from these 3 days of conference, I will always imprint this on my heart, so that in no matter what circumstance, I must always remember: God loves us. I am His beloved daughter. In Him, there is no fear.
