This is a special shout out to Effy. Thank you for the time you spent with me.
It meant something to me.
OK, I am not going to change my sexual inclination now. Ernest is still mine! MINE. Effy is Ernest's sister and the few days I spent with her brings a new meaning to our sister-in-law kinda relationship.

To think that for the 7 or 8 years I have been with Ernest, I have not been particularly close to her. It was always hi and bye and how are you. Maybe I have myself to blame as well. Everytime I go to Ernest's place to hang out, I always hang out in his room and never attempted a chat. I did know the going-ons in her life. The milestones like her entry to Anderson JC, her entry to SMU, her excitement in going to CU for a 3-month exchange, her graduation, her first jobs, her best friends, her boyfriends, her travels. All are second-hand information.

The few days I visited her at her work place really opened our lives to each other. We shared dinner, lunch, gossips and laughter. Effy is really easy to get along with and I dun find it hard to understand why her colleagues love her so much. If she were my colleague, I will always hang out at her desk.

Thank you for spending my one of my bleakest birthday week with me. You made that week so special. Thank you.
