We went to dbl O last night when it was ladies' night and Adora's actual birthday eve. Interesting things noted:
1) You got to queue for at least 1/2 hour before you can get in.
2) Girls get to go in free (duh!), but guys have to pay 25 bucks for the entry and one drink (poor things, I actually felt sorry for them)
3) If you dun want to queue, guys got to pay extra 5 bucks to cut the q and girls gotta pay 'extra' (it was not explicit how much girls have to pay to get in faster)
4) Non-paying girl's bar counter has only 2 bartenders. Paying counters have at least 4 bartenders counting coins in the cash register.
5) Girls have to fight and scratch each other to get to order free drinks and get f-up attitude from frazzled bartenders who have enough serving free drinks to girls and serving those girls who refused to budge an inch from the counter, but keep ordering drinks.
6) I am getting to old for clubbing. One 'lance' and I am ready to go home.
When we finally passed 12 midnight, we wished Adora happy birthday, 'lanced' a bit more and headed for Home sweet Home. Once outside, then we finally can breathe in fresh air and realised how sore our throats were after shouting to each other just to communicate inside. We were taking a breather and waiting for Adora and Ken to finish their smoking when we witnessed an all boys' fight broke out just inches away from us. Could not really find out what and why they start the fight, but it was a pretty funny scene, with all the boys punching each other. Silly boys. And of course, everybody just hang around and look at the show. Typical.
What happened to us? We quickly picked ourselves up from the bench and hailed a cab and off we went. 'Kiasu'? Perhaps. We just do not want any trouble. Hehehe....
