On Monday, we had pot luck at Jamie's new place. You can call it housewarming, though our house warming present is a box of oven-baked fish fingers. The potluck consist of Ah P's honey chicken wings and potato salad, Alyvn's roast chicken and Jamie's white rice, zucchini dish and potato bake. Not bad, but loaded with carbos.
After the dinner, the guys gathered in front of the goggle box for football and tennis, while we girls gathered around a table for mahjong. We sound like a gaggle of aunties and even teased the guys into making us red bean soup like maids. Haha. We had a bit of gossip in between games, but we were mostly trying hard to beat each other.
Today, I had to wake up early to go for my driving test. Started out quite scary, too hard on the accelerator and stalled, but I got out of it and I PASSED THE FREAKING DRIVING TEST! No more do I have to stop at stop signs or stop lines! Hahahahaha! This is maybe one of the happiest day of my life. We went to Sunny Bank to celebrate by having a Mah Lar Huo Guo.....hmm......nice food, driving license..what more can one ask for?
I thinking me getting this driving license marks a new phase of my life. Just had my degree and now I have a new driving license. It may not be something big to some, but it is quite significant. It symbolises my independence and a new step into 'adult' life. Like working, saving money and getting married. A new phase in life I am not quite looking forward to if I cannot find a job that pays reasonably well in Singapore. Life sucks. At least I still have God and Ernest.
