Hello! Did anyone missed me so far?
Friday evening was spent shopping in the city. Ernest tried on two pairs of shoes, Nike Air Force One & Nike Dunz and was terribly pressured by the sales staff to buy the 2 pairs. Of course he didn't and I am pretty sure that the sales staff are secretly planning to trip him up on his way out of the shop. Vicious men.
We had a wonderful dinner at this Japanese place that our friend recommended in the city. It was a small family affair and really had that cosy Japanese feel to it. We were pretty assured that the chef is Japanese and man, do they served up a mean Japanese cuisine. Although we only had Chicken Katsu Curry and Tori Karraage Donburi, it was delicious! And plus the lewd Japanese magazines free for patron browsing? We had a very nice time indeed.
I had a relaxing Saturday. Movies was the first on the menu. We takeaway our Hungry Jack lunch into Catch Me If You Can. Did I mentioned that movies are free sitting in Brisbane? I guess I much prefer this way cos we always get the good seats as we are kiasu enough. Hehe. This movie was 3 hours, but I enjoyed every minute of it. I am very impressed with the real Frank Abignale. It was so cool that he managed to sponge off 4 million bucks from banks on fake cheques. This is what I call an entrepreneur. All that before he was even 21 years old. You go, kid!
We went for and Italian dinner with our lecturer Lucas at Park Road in Milton. I had gnocchi, Ernest had some mussels pasta and Lucas had chicken penne. I must say the the white wine they serve is really nice. During the dinner, we swiped jokes and gossips about lecturers and tutors. We even found out that Lucas have a soft spot for Asian Chinese girls. He was consistently distracted by a few who were strolling up and down Park Road in search of a good coffee spot. It was hilarious! We even set a date to visit a notorious strip club he recommended next weekend and he intends to ask another tutor along! This is going to be seriously funny. Wait for my report next Saturday! I will have the latest update.
