I have an interview lined at at 11. It was at Tanjong Pagar and it was for a sales position. Sounds pretty good and I was surprised that they want an interview. Judging by the job situation now in Singapore, I thought I was lucky to get this interview. I dressed up like very macham ok...you know, very chio.
The interview started out quite nicely. The interviewer, Damien, gave me like a half an hour sob story about the company. Said I would be in charge of this and in charge of that. Sounds fine, until the renumeration part. I was shocked dumb when he says he can offer me 2 kinds of renumeration: one with allowance and one without allowance.
1. Couple of hundred dollars on allowance and 10 percent cut on commission if I clinch the deal.
2. No allowance whatsoever (means no pay at all!) and 25 percent cut on commission of I clinch the deal.
This sounds real dodgy. I told him I would sleep on it and would get back to him.
When the night comes, I got so much negative comments about that company that I almost tempted to rush down to the office in Tanjong Pagar and burn it down. I finally decided not to work for the guy and send more resumes online instead. Ernest said that the guy is a real cheapo. What do you think?
