I was chatting to my sis the other day and she commented I should be feeling fulfilled now that I am a co-property owners to 2 apartments in 2 different countries, proud mother to a tabby cat, juggling full time work and a 2nd degree in law, no less.
On the Maslow's hierarchy of needs, I would be on self-actualisation mode now, wouldn't I?
Although I should be satisfied, you guys ought to see things from this perspective:
- I am bound by chains to Singaporean government and an Australian bank to repay loans to apartments which I won't even see or sniff of the titles until 30 years down the track
-darling Emi is shedding so much short hair and pooping too much and eating me poor that I am considering a full refund
-full time work is no joke when u r trying to read chapters to be ready for live discussions about Australian legal history with classmates who actually had done high school subjects about Australian history already. Heck I dun even know much about our SEA history myself cos I have chosen to do Geography for my O Levels. And while my colleagues are discussing about upcoming a Mining Expo that Rex will be involved in, I had a vision ala Ally McBeal to throw myself against the wall and get smashed like an Easter creme egg on overdrive.
But yes, I thank God for expanding my capacity and blessing me everyday. And it will be even a thousand-fold blessing when I become an awesome lawyer one day....LOL...I suuu u ah!
