I dun understand how some restaurants in Sydney calls themsleves the authentic Malaysian or Singaporean restaurant, charges an arm and leg for a common dish (it was AUS$99 for a crab dish, I am not sure if the crab was fresh or not in the first place) and still continue to exist in Sydney expecting to make a quick buck.
They advertise themsleves as the authentic Malaysian Bak Kut Teh restaurant.
Presentation-wise, it looked pretty good. A potful of meat simmering away in Malaysian-style bak kut teh served with chicken rice balls and dark, dark soy sauce with chilli & raw garlic.
Soup is very herbal in taste, but somehow, it lacks paunch. I have tasted better bak kut teh in KL, so my expectations were not met.
It was good, but I doubt I will go back there again for $39 bak kut teh set and $17 sambal kangkong.

PS: http://www.eatability.com.au/ rated this restaurant 3.9 out of 10, so it pretty much said everything.

Did you find any decent bak kut teh in Sydney in the end? I am really craving some. I prefer the Singapore style peppery soup instead of herbal but I would eat either if I could find it. It seems this place you tried is now closed.
Thanks for your help. Ang Mo Oran Putih desperatly seeking makan.
