Hello all!
Ever since I came back from New Zealand, the land of tourists and nice Kiwis, I have slacked off blogging. Apologies!
But you know my ever faithful husband Ernest has blogged about NZ, so it's fine.
On 10 Mar, me and my colleagues went fishing at Hawkesbury River and I got sunburnt on my thigh as I did not put sunblock on them. Who would have thought? Anyway, MonkeyCrab has blogged about our virgin experience and I can tell you til today, I can still feel a ghostly sea-sick around my legs.
On Mon we decide to cook our loot of 3 whitings, 1 bream and a flathead.
Chun preparing his ever-famous Ebi-fry to ge-liao (add to the dinner)
Our loot! Lightly battered, these fishes were deepfried to a lovely crisp.
Chun's very delicious Ebi-fry!
Nobody wants to touch the flathead, so Ernest came to the rescue. He baked the flathead and concocted a lovely fusion sauce to go with it. I reckon it's the best tasting fish of all although it looked the ugliest. I was poked in my finger into my nail bed by its long fin and boy was it painful.
Last check, the fin might have disappeared into my flesh and it was getting less painful. Hope my body is doing its job of either dispelling the fin for me or dissolving the fin in my nail bed cos I could hardly see it anymore.
