Shall we just recap what has happened the past week? I was inspired by Effy's email to me. She just listed down all her going-ons for the week and made me excited about visiting London.
Today is Monday. Let's start from last Monday.
10 Jul (Mon) - Chairman came. I woke up at 4am. Bathe, makeup like a geisha and went to airport to fetch him to office to let him catch the finishing penalty shootout between France and Italy in the conference room TV.
At 8, the whole jim-gang went to Wagga Wagga for the showdown of the century. Paul was asked to leave.
11 Jul (Tues) - Chairman went back to Sydney for meetings after meetings. I made coffees after coffees. Ordered catering until all the staff at the cafe knows me by my first name.
12 Jul (Wed) - Meetings at office again for the Chairman. Dinner at The Quay. Fantastic food and fantastic view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge as well as the Opera House. Dinner with MC members can be quite a boring affair. I need to dress up as a geisha again. But hey, who is complaining if I have good food? Haha.
13 Jul (Thurs) - Wagga Wagga again! Today no one was asked to leave, but Chairman had long heart to heart talks to staff who are quaking in their boots about their future. No fear! Chairman is here. At about 3, Chairman wants to buy 'black boy' plant (what the hXXX is a black boy plant?) so Shae drove him out to a Wagga nursery to shop for one. I was so busy sending out letters to NSW regional councils for GB that I didn't realise they left without me.
14 Jul (Fri) - AccPacc team cooped up in the Board Room today with Chairman the whole day to talk about the new accounting system. Me? Besides splitting myself for reception duties, doing paperwork for Shae, making coffees for Chairman and buying him food the whole day, I even managed to squeeze in a little shopping time with Shae to get yet another black boy plant, packing materials and boxes.
Dinner at Galileo at the Observatory Hotel at The Rocks. Super duper expensive restaurant. The degustation menu is priced at $115 per pax. I was shaking with I lifted my spoon, fork and knife to taste the wonderfully concocted French-Japanese fusion cusine. Three hats grading for Galileo is well-deserved.
15 Jul (Sat) - Woke up at ungodly hour of 6 to send the AccPac consultant off to the airport. Rushed home, bathed, rushed to office to pack Chairman's beloved black boy plants. Rushed off to church for 10am choir practice.
After the practice at 1pm, I rushed back to office. Got lunch for the Chairman, packed his golden kiwis and got ready all his luggage. Off me, Shae and Irwin went to send him off. Was driving to the International airport when suddenly I was thinking how come I was rushing around for the past week? Why am I so busy? Since there are no answers, I concentrated in getting the Chairman safely to the airport and off into his flight back to Singapore.
Mayooran's matchmaking dinner at night at Castle Hill. I heard the drive is an hour long but nothing beats the real thing. By the time we reached the freaking hotel, my butt hurts and I am getting too cranky from the lack of food. Food is from Blue Elephant, the authentic Sri Lankan cuisine but it is a pity that Mayooran's target did not come that night. Shucks.
16 Jul (Sun) - Church at 1pm. Had a wonderful praise and worship. Gave the offering message to the whole congregation (so nervous!!) and Pastor John delivered a powerful message about the Prodigal Son.
Coffee with church mates afterwards. We had Japanese food for dinner and all went for Karaoke after. Ivy and Sue (Koreans) wowed us with their rendition of 'I Believe'. Chageyeh!
17 Jul (Mon) - Clearing up when Chairman left is the tall order of the day. Lotsa expenses claims to clear as well as ComSec's paperwork.
Dinner with church mates. Raymond cooked grilled chicken and egg omelette. Ben, Jake and Rueben bought mixed stir-fry hot pot and roast duck. I brought Coke and OJ. Nice cosy dinner. It was nice doing a nice catching up with church mates.
Not sure if you guys are still interested in the rest of the week, but I endeavor to clear all my paperwork, clean my room and toilet and basically getting stuff ready so that I can enjoy my weekend with Ernest comes. Yes! Ernest is coming. For good! Indeed this is good news. Everyone also keep me in prayers. I am to lead Praise and Worship in this Thursday's cell group!! Me! Lead! I am so novice at this. I hope I will not be as nervous as I was on Sunday when I shared the offering message.
OK, I thinking I am starting to nag. Gotta to stop writing.
FYI, I miss roti prata.
