I am sorry I did not blog frequently as promised. I reckon I slack for 2 weeks already. The excitement of the new job in Sydney, Australia, the excitement of meeting new colleagues and making new friends and the excitement of staying together ala dorm mates got into me and I must say the work is tremendously exciting.

Before. My suitcase looked so bright and cheery.
The day I reached Brisbane airport, it was a bright and sunny day. I sorta wish it was cold but I guess summer isn't quite over yet. Lynn, my new colleague who was travelling with me, helped my carry my bag together to the domestic airport to catch the connecting flight to Brisbane. She's nice.

My new apartment! I am sharing a room with Lynn. Our room is big and airy and I really dun mind. As long as I have my trusty laptop, my communication with Ernest will be consistent to the max.
Remember my apartment address is 21, 635 Gardeners Road, Mascot, NSW 2020. Everyone is welcome to send me gifts!
HAPPY BELATED VALENTINE'S DAY! to my darling hubby
It was 14 Feb 2006, and our first Valentine's Day after our marriage. I am slogging away in Sydney where he is in Singapore. *Sob. Coincidentally, our chairman came to Sydney for a week and insisted all Singaporeans staff must go out dinner with him. Ok lah, no prawn, fish also ok. We celebrated this romantic day with our Chairman. Valentine's Day at Golden Century Chinese Restaurant boast of mention-worthy fare such as lobster stir-fried with eefu noodles, black pepper beef, tofu, etc.

Lynn. My new colleague cum travelling mate. REX office. We all got new PCs. Cool, eh?

My very first after work Friday!
On 17 Feb, Fri, our colleagues May and Chun brought us out on a well-deserved dinner to treat ourselves after a hard week of work. We went to Nick's at Darling Harbour. They sell yummy-looking seafood and they are situated at such chi-chi location where you can eat and moon over people walking by at the same time.

Cheese! Hope my dark eye circles aren't too obvious.

I am gonna say one time: Nick's delicious!

Good Sat morning everyone!
On this beautiful Sat morn, we are going to pick another new colleague up from the airport. Magdalena starts Monday and she is chairman's PA. Thereafter we are going to Market City in the City for dim sum.
Off we go. Off we go.

DIM DIM SUM SUM.

In the afternoon, we went sight-seeing. May and Chun and YueYue has offered to bring us around and we did the usual tourist thing. See the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, had tea and wandered about.

Chun, our budding photographer.

The cheesecake and the eclairs are out of this world. Get them at The Rocks.

Interesting basker at Darling Harbour. I saw him 2 years ago doing this and he is still at the exact same spot plying his talent. Wonder if he paid rent to be there?

More tourist pics.

And more tourist pics. This different perspective of Sydney harbour bridge was taken from the Botanical Garden where we took a stroll in and ended up at this place with this fantastic view. We sat on the grass much like natives do and chatted the afternoon away.

Indian food for dinner. I dun have any idea Indian curry could be this wickedly delicious here in Newtown, Sydney.

Newtown was such a lively place that it is very very hard to find parking. In fact, it is more difficult to find parking here in Newtown than in the city. Look what we found stuck to our windscreen after we had no choice but to park at the handicapped lot for the Indian dinner.

YueYue and Lynn posing for Truth or Dare. It was Lynn's call and since she chose dare, YueYue dared her to massage his feet (which was in socks the whole day already). Lynn sportingly obliged.

OK, I am getting to sleepy to blog properly. Until next time, bye!
