I choff down my last-night's-dinner-now-reheated-lunch in record 3 minutes and dashed down to the train station to meet A, J and J's mum for a meltdown of the century.

Short summary: J owes A about $12 000 worth of loans with the bank and refused to pay up when J has used the money. A had no choice and had to show up at J's house to see J and J's mum. So they are meeting at HL Bank today to transfer the loan from A's name to J's and made J to sigh something that J will the one making the monthly repayments. From my short working stint working at a bank, I know these kind of scene is usually not very nice. Both parties' face were so black and incomprehensible. I almost felt uncomfortable standing there, although I promised to be A's moral support when they have to sort this out.

Athough we left the bank with J's promise to repay the loan faithfully, A fears there will be more to come. I can't offer A much suggestion on this except to remind A that the loan is totally of out A's hands now. J will be the only one responsible now.

Sometimes, I do wonder how one can spend beyond their means. Is there absolutely no way you can control your spending? I have heard nightmare stories about some people I know have to resort to eating pet food when their money runs out for the rest of the month. How can that be possible? Although I have not tasted pet food before, I don't think they could taste as nice as human food. Give me that tasty cheesy dog treats.....yuck.....

Anyway, the point is, spending more that you can afford reflects how little self control you have. Although I am a bit ditzy from time to time, I know the importance of not running up debts. It will be harder to pay money back once you owed it. It will usually cost you more to repay any kinds of loans. Borrow from a friend and you might lose the friendship. Borrow from a bank? Haha, the interest will have you slog for the rest of your life. Viva la debit cards.
