Monday night. Ernest and I met up with Sita for a sumptious Thai-Chinese dinner at my old haunt, SSC, tonight. The dishes had, to my relief, retained their flavours all these while. The fish is deep-fried to a crisp and the chilli sauce that accompanied the fish was too oiishi to describe. The beef dish portion was small, but the rich flavours of the beef silvers and the spring onions matched to a T. The deep fried calamari too, was deep fried to perfection and tastes heavenly when dipped into the chilli sauce that was meant for the fish. Our main starch, the pineapple rice, came in first!

The fruity flavour of the pineapple was miraculously combined with the salty flavoured fried rice and topped with chicken/pork floss and fried onions. You got to try it to know why it comes in the first place.

We had a nice time catching up with Sita. Her new hairstyle was very flattering and makes her 'mysteriously' pretty. She looks like a modern Cleopatra. I guess it is her hair colour.

We chatted the night away on her new job, our dreams and aspirations and about our uni friends. I was surprised that we did not really know how we met in Australia. Haha! Lucky we hit off....

Sita is determined to break into F & B industry one day. I sincerely wish her the best. I am thinking of starting my very own shop one day too, but have not thought of any concrete ideas yet. Perhaps I should look into setting up a virtual shop or something, so that I won't incur any overhead. Dreams....they seem very tempting but it is hard when you are in reality. We have no capital, no experience or guidance. Maybe someday.....
