These few days, I could not access Ernest's blog, nor anyone's blog. Mystifying, but there were no answers. This morning, I tried my luck again and voila! I can go into their blogs now!
On Sunday, I went to Causeway Point alone to get Ann's pressie. I have decided to get a couple of cook books and thought of carjoling her into making some of the nice stuff featured in the books. I did bought a couple of bilingual cook books, but becuase of the wonderful air-conditioning, I stayed longer than I am supposed to and ended up buying a new blouse costing a freaking $50 bucks. I am so ashame of myself. Why did I fall into temptation and bought the blouse which is so filmsy that I can seive flour in? It must be Ernest's fault. He isn't around to stop me. And there he was, enjoying himself in the Land of Smiles, Thailand. I want to shop at MBK......... :(
This week was wasted on gathering the Chinese New Year cards and sending them out to all our company's local customers. I learnt how to frank the envelopes and boy did I have a fun time! I franked 30cents on all of them. And then, today, I read on Streats that the Stinkapore Post is charging us 50cents on sending out local pink enveloped Chinese New Year cards. What the? You mean for a lighter shade of pink for envelope, you are charging me 20cents more? Why? You mean you have higher cost in delivering pink envelopes?? I dun get it. I dun care too. I have franked 30cents and if you guys do not want to deliver the cards, I am not going to fret over it. It just make me sick how these 'government' agencies go about making money from us locals.
Dot is coming back from Melbourne soon and I can't wait to see her. She promises me loads of gossip. She said she suffered hell there and I haven't the faintest idea how can you suffer in the city full of wondrous sights and shopping.
