This would be the most boring Friday ever. Time passes so slow til I can see the seconds tick by in the office. A lot of my colleauges are already in the Chirstmas mood. They are busy planning for the gift exchange among us and the Christmas eve buffet lunch. It is decided that we must have turkey although I think that chicken would be a more appropriate meat for us Asians.
Fen's wedding is, gasp!, tomorrow. I can guess her feelings now. Must be feeling nervous and happy at the same time. We have not decided what to get her yet. Hope we will have some ideas when we meet for dinner later.
Y has been a very nice boy. He helped me buy 4 month's worth of Aussie Cosmopolitian and I am having the time of my life reading the past issues. You might wonder what is so appealing about Aussie Cosmos. Correct. They are appealing, mostly based on the fact that they are banned in Singapore. Yupe, you heard me right. Magazines banned from the ultra-conservative Singapore who has just annouced not too long ago that they will be more tolerant to gays. Don't get it, do you? It is just one of the little ways how hypocritical this little island is. Be tolerant to gays or lesbians however you want, but you shouldn't deprive a girl's pleasure in her reading preference. Even if the contents of Cosmo is too 'informative' (read: too liberal and non-conservative) for Asian's 'modest' and 'humble' up-bringing. I am disgusted.
Let us read what we want, watch whatever shows we want. Let us have uncensored Sex and the City, Six Feet Under and The Sopranos. Let me read Aussie Cosmopolitian and enjoy true-blue nude pole dancing in peace. Thank you.
