Hello all....I know it has been a week since I last update.
I was away in KL for an exhibition. It was a learning experience. One that will stick in my mind forever as we were quite ill-prepared and inexperienced. There were a few obstacles on the way, but it was by God's grace that everything turns out for the better. Regardless the untimely arrangement of exhibition print materials or the lack of communication with the exhibition organisers, it was really a relief when everything was properly dealt with in the end.
After each day, we really played hard. First night, I went out with my colleagues to a Hakka restaurant, had a scrumptious dinner and a few beers. We stayed in the hotel lounge for some night caps til we could not even keep out eyes open anymore.
2nd night, I went out with my sis and Victor for a nice cheese baked rice, coke boiled with ginger and heavenly French toast dinner at a Kim Gary HK restaurant at Sunway. Me and colleagues went to check out the Beach Club which was infamous in KL. It was dissapointing however, as the songs sucks.
3rd night, me, sis and Vic went to have Bak Kut Teh dinner KL style. It was heavenly!!! Very very delicious. After dinner, we drove around the neighbourhood looking for pros and trans. It was interesting to see how they 'operate' with their pimps. We ended the night with naan at a Bangsar Indian eatery.
4th night was spent having a wedding-dinner styled dinner at Spring Garden, KLCC with boss and colleagues. The dinner took us 3 hours to complete. I nearly fell asleep waiting for the dishes between intervals. I was spirited away by my sis and Vic to meet E for dessert. We had the famous Seimeilo and concluded that their desserts are pretty nice.
Friday night me and E met up with M and G, our uni friend with her new boyfriend for seafood dinner at Kepong. Food was pretty nice, but the crabs were not fresh. Overall, the chef's cooking skills are ichiban! However, the freshness of the seafood left much desired.
The exhibition finished on Friday, so I decided to stay on Sat and Sun to see more of KL. We went to Mid Valley on Sat for shopping. The shopping centre was humongous. As for dinner, we went to Che Chiong Street to try their infamous street eateries. Infamous for their dubious hygiene concern, their food was pretty delicious. We had pork oil fried Hokkien mee, claypot mee tai mut and lychee drink. The Che Chiong Street was packed with stalls selling imitation branded goods, jerseys and knick knacks. It was quite a shopping experience.
Sun was spent roaming Bukit Pintang, Sungei Wang and the whole of Bintang walk. Exhausted and hungry, we settled our late lunch at Kim Gary, Sungei Wang branch. Oh yes, not forgetting our yucky breakfast of eggs benedict (0 points) and ceasar salad (3 points for being too oily) at Dome, Lot 10.
We took a 6.30pm bus back to Singapore with Ramli burger, fish cake keropok tar pau as a bus snack.
This week is really tiring.....going to sleep liao......zzzzzzzzzzz
