Today is 8 of August 2003, the eve of Singapore's National Day. Tomorrow is a public holiday, it should be make me pretty happy, being a long weekend and all, but helping out at the yu tiao store really spoils the day. :(

I read on the papers that Mars will be obiting closest to the Earth these few days, making this a very rare event indeed, happening like every 287 years or something. If I am in Australia, I would make my way to Mount Cootha to get an unobstructive view of Mars, which was claimed that it will be so close that we can see its craters. But I am in Singapore. Where in the world would I be able to see Mars? The high-rise buildings would totally spoil the view entirely. I guess I just have to settle for the news report and the photographs people take to be posted online instead.

Happy National Day!
