Happy Wednesday! My superior is on MC today, due to a mega-size complications within the accounts department yesterday. She moaned about a massive headache and did not turn up today. I, as usual, have stuff to do but I just hop along and skip stuff over so that I don't feel stressed out today. Heard that one staff is going on maternity leave soon and her work is going to be delegated to me. Haha...sure give all the work to me and you shall see your work at the bottom of my pile.
Was planning to go Jalan Kayu for roti prata and kambing soup for lunch today, but as the big boss is still in the office, this wonderful plan was dashed. Instead, we ended at an obscure coffeeshop having sub-standard prawn noodles. The lunch turned out to be a wonderful discussion on nice places to visit especially if you have fetish for exciting roller coaster rides and rides of extreme excitement and danger. Some of the places recommended include Six Flags, Florida, LA, Las Vegas, Seoul and Gold Coast. My colleague shared about how his friends had gotten the vomit of an elderly couple right in his face during a Six Flags ride when the couple could not stand the ride. Hahaha!
Teo, another of my colleague shared how he had spent 25 days with his friends driving along the US east coast line from Vancover to Mexico. Wow! I was so impressed. He told us that he also did Europe via car rides as well. He was certainly well travelled. I hope I can follow his foot steps as well. He told me that he is planning to go Melbourne skiing. I recommended some places that are nice and told him to send my regards to the mountains for me. I miss Melbourne so much.
All and all, Wednesday today is good. And I see that all is good and this is the third day.
Pardon me for quoting the bible. I was affected by The Animatrix. Watched the movie yesterday and it was certainly mind-boggling. I guess most of the people who was watching with us yesterday knows neither head nor tail of what the movie is about, but to me, The Renassiance Part 1 and 2 scared the freak out of me. It depicts the danger of weaknesses in men and how they tried to control all things. The prejudice in men towards all things foreign and the superiority and pride men felt in their hearts finally brought about their fall with AI robots and whereupon occurs The Matrix. It eerily resembles The Revelations in the Bible and I was quite uncomfortable about these two parts of the movie.
My favourite part of the movie is about the haunted house, Yuki the cat and the children. The children found a haunted house and things were happening to them. They threw bottles on the floor and it won't break. They try to fall themselves to the ground and found themselves floating in mid air. It was actually a mistake in The Matrix program and the virus has affected the programming of the house and the house became 'abnormal'. In the end, agents came to take the children away, ward them in hospital and changed the programming of the house to a carpark. When the children came back to look for the house, they could not find it anymore. A sad story of innocent children realising for the first time The Matrix and I find it intriguing and hauntingly real. And of course nobody believed what they had experienced and scoffs them as 'making up stories', as what we usually do with children telling stories of invisible friends, monsters in the closets and under the beds.
