This is disgraceful. I have not updated my blog for ages. If you have been inside here consistently more than I do, hoping to catch a bit more attention from the owner herself, I apologised for your time wasted. From the time I found my new job on the 27th of Feburary until now, I have been extremely busy, learning the ropes on the job. I am officially an Admin Executive, but seriously, my pay isn't that 'executive' at all. But, I am holding on a hope that after the end of the three month probation, I am proven to be worth more than my present pay.
At present, I am somewhat incharge of all purchasing that results in the smooth operation of the company. Be it stationery, letterheads, office partitions to toilet paper, I am the buying arm of the company. Seriously, it really feels good to spend someone else's money!
But of course, no company is without politics and gossipmongers, especially the bigger the comapny gets. My company has over 50 staff and most of the senior female staff are usually indulged in spats of political games to pass their time. I care no lesser than the exciting stories these seniors would tell me, but alas, I was a victim of backstabbing nonethless last saturday, when a secretary blabbered to all staff that I accused an absent staff of being infected with SARS and I did not want him back in the office when he is ready to return. I was horribly maligned and people keep coming up to me to inform me that it is unkind to say of people like that especially behind people's backs. But I plead my innocence. I have been accused wrongly!
Anyway, all the while, it has been a pleasant stay here in Sing Swee Bee. I have lots more to learn, but I am sure experience comes with age and practice. OK, back to my work again. I will try to update often, but I guess, it's going to be no promise ok?
